Pix-RSA aims to provide a safe and straightforward online payment experience.
This page explains how payments are processed and what customers should do if they experience a payment problem.
Accepted payment methods
The payment methods currently available will be displayed during checkout.
Available methods may include card payments, instant electronic funds transfer or other methods supported by the selected payment provider.
Pix-RSA may add, remove or change payment methods without notice where required for operational, security or technical reasons.
Payment currency
Unless otherwise stated, all transactions are processed in South African rand.
Customers using an international bank account or payment card may be charged currency conversion fees or international transaction fees by their own financial institution.
Pix-RSA does not control these bank charges.
Secure payment processing
Online payments are processed through a secure third-party payment gateway.
Pix-RSA does not intentionally collect or store customers’ full payment-card details on its own website. Sensitive payment information is submitted to and processed by the payment provider according to its own security controls and terms.
The Pix-RSA website uses HTTPS encryption to help protect information transmitted between the customer’s browser and the website.
Payment authorisation
An order will only proceed once payment has been authorised or confirmed.
A payment may be declined because of:
- Insufficient funds
- Incorrect card or account information
- Bank security checks
- An expired card
- Transaction limits
- A failed authentication process
- Temporary payment-provider or banking outages
Customers should contact their bank or payment provider where a valid payment is repeatedly declined.
Payment confirmation
After successful payment, the customer should receive an order confirmation by email.
If payment appears to have been deducted but no order confirmation is received:
- Check the email spam or junk folder.
- Check whether an order appears under your website account, if applicable.
- Do not repeatedly submit the same payment.
- Contact Pix-RSA with the payment date, amount and reference.
- Do not send complete card details by email or contact form.
Payment verification
Pix-RSA may request reasonable information to verify a transaction where fraud, identity misuse or unauthorised payment is suspected.
Pix-RSA will never ask a customer to provide a complete bank-card number, PIN or online banking password by email, telephone or WhatsApp.
Failed or incomplete payments
Products are not reserved indefinitely when payment is unsuccessful or incomplete.
Where payment is not received, Pix-RSA may cancel the order and return the product to available stock.
Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time before a refund appears in the customer’s account.
Refund eligibility is governed by the Pix-RSA Refunds & Returns Policy and applicable law.
Protecting yourself online
Customers should:
- Confirm that they are using the official Pix-RSA website
- Avoid making payment through links received from unknown parties
- Keep banking passwords and PINs private
- Use a secure internet connection
- Contact Pix-RSA if payment instructions appear unusual
- Never send complete card information by email
